In the summer of 2020, James sent a LinkedIn DM to Henrik on LinkedIn as part of his outreach to potential customers for his freelancing coaching business. Henrik replied in true Dutch, no-nonsense form.
Henrik had just back home in the Netherlands after having spent a year living and working in Colorado, USA, with his family.
The two hit it off instantly. LinkedIn DMs turned into video calls that turned into daily WhatsApp texts, keeping in touch over the years until one day, in one of their frequent catch-ups, they figured out they were each individually helping clients with HubSpot!
The idea was simple: “Why not do this together?” And so the bromance deepened with mutual (tax write off-able 😉) visits to the Netherlands and Arizona, USA. It was a match made in heaven - Henrik brings a lot of management coaching experience to the table, as well as experience implementing CRM (notably Salesforce) for larger companies. And James, having built out lots of HubSpot Sales & Marketing Hub implementations for a variety of clients, specializes in go-to-market strategy and demand generation.
The two quickly aligned on their process: never “just implement” but always build a firm foundation first: looking for the actual problems to be solved, creating a clear playing field for the clients’ teams to operate within, ensuring any CRM software implementation would be creating synergy and clarity for everyone involved.
With this approach, they were able to quickly win big projects and attack the HubSpot agency world - reaching platinum status within just months of signing up as a HubSpot Partner Agency.
And so the dream continues - an American-born connoisseur of the finer things of Europe (including the Spanish language), and a transatlantic Dutch dude that secretly wishes he was as American as his partner.
Together, are bringing HubSpot to the Salesforce world, and CRM software that actually works to whomever is willing to receive it.
